Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Everything You Need To Know
What is DirADA? What is Direct Print ADA?
DirADA is a direct-to-substrate printing process that allows digital images to be printed directly onto a material’s surface. This streamlined process skips intermediary steps, such as transfer papers or decals, delivering crisp and vibrant results. This cutting-edge method is compatible with a wide range of materials, including wood, metal, acrylic, and plastics. It utilizes specialized flatbed printers with UV-curable inks, which are cured instantly with UV light as they are applied. The result is a durable, high-quality finish, making this process ideal for creating signage, displays, and custom artwork. With its versatility and precision, direct-to-substrate printing is a modern solution for long-lasting and visually striking designs.

Installation FAQ
What is the recommended method for installing ADA signage indoors?
We recommend using both double-faced tape and adhesive to securely install ADA signage. This dual application provides optimal strength and ensures the signs stay firmly in place. For any unique or heavy signs, additional installation recommendations may apply. Please consult your specific product instructions or contact us for more guidance.
Can ADA signage be installed outside?
Yes, ADA signage can be installed outdoors, but it requires specific considerations to ensure durability. Outdoor conditions like weather, UV exposure, and temperature fluctuations can impact materials and installation methods. When placing your order, please indicate whether the signs will be installed outdoors. This information allows us to adjust fabrication methods accordingly to ensure durability and optimal performance in outdoor conditions.
What type of surface is best for installing the signage?
For proper adhesion and long-lasting results, ADA signage should only be installed on painted or “finished” surfaces. Painted surfaces require proper paint curing time before installing signs with adhesion and tape.
Do I need any special tools or equipment to install the signage?
Generally, no special tools are needed. However, we recommend cleaning the painted surface thoroughly before installation to remove any dust, grease, or debris that might interfere with adhesion.
What do I do if the signage does not adhere properly after installation?
If the signage does not adhere securely, check that the surface is clean and dry. Reapply the adhesive and double-faced tape following the instructions, and ensure firm pressure is applied during installation. If issues persist, contact us for assistance.
